Accessibility Statement
At Retreat Ranch, we are committed to providing an honest and transparent experience for every guest. Our property was intentionally designed to preserve the natural beauty and character of the Texas Hill Country. As a result, Retreat Ranch is a rustic, working agricultural ranch rather than a traditional hotel or conference facility, and some features of the property may present challenges for guests with certain disabilities.
The ranch encompasses natural terrain, including uneven ground, gravel pathways, hills, and outdoor gathering spaces. Many of our accommodations and common areas require navigating steps, and we do not have elevators, ramps, or ADA-compliant bathrooms. Because of these inherent characteristics, portions of the property are not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for guests with mobility impairments.
Our retreat experiences are designed to immerse guests in nature and include interaction with the ranch environment. Guests should be comfortable walking on natural surfaces and navigating outdoor spaces throughout their stay.
We encourage anyone with accessibility questions or concerns to contact us before booking. We’re happy to provide detailed information about the property, accommodations, and retreat activities so you can determine whether Retreat Ranch is the right fit for your individual needs.
Service Animals
Retreat Ranch is a working agricultural ranch, not a traditional hotel or event venue. Free-ranging horses, poultry, livestock guardian dogs, and other ranch animals move throughout the property as part of our daily operations. Guests also participate in activities within these active agricultural areas.
Because of this environment, the presence of any outside dog-including a trained service dog-creates an unavoidable and significant safety risk. Horses are prey animals and may react unpredictably to unfamiliar dogs. Our livestock guardian dogs are specifically trained to protect our animals and may perceive unfamiliar dogs as threats. These interactions cannot be safely eliminated or controlled and place the service dog, our livestock, our guests, and our staff at risk of serious injury.
For these reasons, service animals cannot be safely accommodated anywhere on the property. This policy is based on legitimate safety requirements inherent to our active agricultural operations and the unique nature of the ranch environment, not on the training or behavior of any individual service animal.
We understand this may create an inconvenience, and we’re happy to recommend nearby pet-friendly hotels where your service dog can stay safely while you’re attending your retreat or event at Retreat Ranch.
